WELCOME
Wollongong Homeless Hub and Housing Services is bridging the gap from homelessness to home by working with families and individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to either sustain their existing accommodation or attain and keep new tenancies through a combination of early intervention, case management, referral, advocacy and information.
For nearly 40 years we have been servicing the Illawarra community providing assistance to people who are the most vulnerable with a particular focus on homelessness and at risk of becoming homeless due to a number of issues.
Without the support of our Illawarra community, we could not continue to do the important and life changing work that we do. So THANK YOU Illawarra.

Services
Wollongong Homeless Hub and Housing Service is in the community where we are most needed with our mobile outreach service. Our Mobile Hub provides clients with the opportunity to speak with support workers to assist in accessing services from us and other community services.
Our staff regularly respond to information from members of the public, emergency services and other government agencies who report the location of individuals who are street sleeping or in unconventional accommodation. Our Assertive Outreach Program provides a person living rough with a support worker where they are.
We provide temporary accommodation for individuals and families referred to the service by the Department of Communities and Justice and Link2Home. Clients at our Temporary Accommodation space are supported 7 days a week by trained staff who can assist them with information, advocacy and referrals.
Wollongong Homeless Hub and Housing Services partners with government and other community agencies to offer transitional housing to families within the Illawarra who require additional supports to be able to find and secure longer-term housing.
Wollongong Homeless Hub and Housing Services partners with the Housing Trust to deliver support to clients on the Together Home program. The Together Home program is an initiative of the NSW government which aims to support people street sleeping or in unconventional accommodation across NSW into stable accommodation, linked to wraparound supports.
The Glider Project is a targeted early intervention program that aims to assist people through empowerment, education and advocacy to preserve their tenancy, prevent homelessness and improve social functioning.
It’s our aim at the Wollongong Homeless Hub and Housing Services to keep people in their existing accommodation if it is safe to do so. However this is not always possible.
We provide a range of services and accommodation options to assist families and individuals in need to maintain their tenancy wherever possible.
