Staff in our mobile outreach service also provide assistance to any individual within the wider community with an existing tenancy who may be experiencing difficulties. Support staff are able to provide advice and referrals to programs and services which can assist clients to sustain their accommodation.
To access temporary accommodation clients should call Link2home on 1800 152 152. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week to provide assessment and referral to people experiencing homelessness.
Transitional accommodation provides clients with safe and secure medium-term housing with the additional benefit of support staff to assist all family members to address any issues which may have contributed to their homelessness.
WHH&HS support clients of the Together Home program to address underlying risk factors causing homelessness through person-centred support including intensive education, advocacy and direct practical support. Referrals and assistance to link to long term supports such as the NDIS also ensures clients have ongoing support after the program period.
The Glider Project is a targeted early intervention program that aims to assist people through empowerment, education and advocacy to preserve their tenancy, prevent homelessness and improve social functioning.
